 Thursday, September 10th

  • Bowling with SC Pride, 8:30 - 11:00 p.m., AMF Bowling Lanes
@ Parkland Plaza (900 Axtell Drive, Cayce), $15.00 for shoe
rental and two games. Enjoy games of bowling with friends –

  • Kiki DeVille's Pre-Pride Dance Party, 10:00 p.m., The Cabaret

(1101 Harden Street), No cover charge. Party features dancing,
drag queens, including SC Pride Queen 2008 Kiki DeVille, and
drink specials.

 

Friday, September 11th

Takeover Columbia: Pride edition, 5:05 p.m., White Mule

Columbia Museum of Art 1530 Main Street Across from the Art Museum,

and Under the Free Times offices and One block from the Marriott,

the host hotel for PRIDE, No Cover Charge. Drink Specials & Food!

Saturday, September 12th
  • WXRY Parade Down Main Street, 12:00 noon, Finlay Park
Assemble at 11:00 a.m. on the Laurel Street side of Finlay Park
for the 20th Annual Pride Parade. The parade will be led by
Celebrity Grand Marshal Ongina, from the first season of
"RuPaul's Drag Race" on LOGO.  See map for parade route. 
Start your pride day by marching in or viewing the Pride Parade!
Can't make it to the parade? Listen to live commentary on
WXRY99.3FM or online at wxryfm.org
  • Pride Celebration, 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. , Finlay Park, FREE. 

Come out and celebrate your pride! The celebration will feature

80's Pop Superstar Tiffany and the star of American Idol and

Broadway Frenchie Davis (Talent provided by Divas&DJs.com), as well

as special appearances by Ongina and other great entertainers

and guests.  Enjoy vendors, food, and lots of fun!

  • 2009 SC Gay and Lesbian Business Guild Expo, 12:00 – 6:00

p.m., Finlay Park, Free. See what gay owned and gay friendly
businesses have to offer you at the annual Business Guild Expo,
which takes place this year at the Pride Celebration. For more
information on the South Carolina Gay and Lesbian Business

Sunday, September 13th
  • Rainbow Candlelight Worship Service, 11:00 a.m., Garden of
Grace United Church of Christ (1020 Atlas Road). Garden of
Grace marks the anniversary of its founding with a celebration that
culminates with the final day of SC Pride. For more information,

  • Pride Sunday Services, 9:00 a.m. (contemporary service) and
11:15 a.m. (traditional service), Reformation Lutheran Church
(1118 Union St). Celebrate Pride Sunday with Reformation
Lutheran Church, a congregation living out radical inclusiveness
every day. For more information on the Reformation Lutheran

  • Pride Picnic, 12:30 p.m., Earlewood Park, Free.   Join us for
our annual potluck picnic! No media, no speeches. Just
bring food and drink to share!
  • Business Guild Sunset Boat Cruise, 5:45 p.m., Lake Murray

Marina in Ballentine, $35 for Guild Members, $40 for
non-members. Join the SC Gay and Lesbian Business Guild on
their annual cruise of Lake Murray. The sunset cruise will include
drinks and food. Departure will be at 5:45; all passengers must be

  • SC Pride 2009: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, 2:00 p.m.,

Harriet Hancock Community Center (1108 Woodrow Street),
Free. Have comments, critiques, or praises regarding this year’s
Pride Week? Bring your recommendations for future Pride events
to the final meeting of the Pride 2009 season.    
 

Sunday, October 18th
  • South Carolina Pride Movement Board Meeting, 2:00 p.m., Harriet

Hancock Gay and Lesbian Community Center (1108 Woodrow
Street), Free. Interested in becoming more active in the SC Pride
Movement? Come to our September board meeting and learn
